For Sale: 1969 Dodge Super Bee in Chicopee, Massachusetts for sale in Chicopee, MA

1 of 24
Vehicle Description In 1969, the original owner of this car, walked into Cook's Chrysler and purchased a brand new Coronet Super Bee, armed with a 383 Magnum 4 bbl, 4 speed pistol grip, power windows, power steering and power front disc brakes.
It was his first new car and as a young man in his late teens, he did beat the livin bajesus out of it.
Brad was into cars and within a few years had opened up his own shop in central MA.
Brad was into racing as well ALL kinds of racing and he, and/or his prepped cars, was often seen at LimeRock, Watkins Glen, Riverside, Thompson and other New England raceways.
He got into drag racing a bit and even ran in the revived La Carrera Panamericana race in Mexico a couple of times.
His plan was to turn this Super Bee into into a street/drag racer.
When the original 383 blew up, he found a replacement with a serial number just a few thousand off from the original.
He also sourced an RB 440 big block.
In the same time frame, he went back to Cook's, which was closing, and this time, he bought the entire property and expanded his service center into the largest garage in the area.
(it still flourishes today) The car got shifted to the new location and tucked into a garage bay he continued to source parts and amassed almost enough to build an entire second car, including 2 big blocks (a slightly built B block 383 and an RB block 440), several front fenders, 3 A833 4 speed transmissions, 3 gauge clusters (all with the tick-tock-tachs), fiberglass 440 hood, nearly 2 interiors (most are tan, and some black pieces, which includes 4 front seats, one back seat, several door cards, dash parts, consoles ), the original Carter 4 bbl, 3 Holley 4 bbl's, 2 bell housings, at least 4 sets of heads, 2 radiators, the entire wiring harness, all rubber weatherstripping/seals, 3 4 bbl intake manifolds, drive shafts, 2 seats of headers, 2 grill assemblies, set of the original Rallye 500 wheels, gas tank,.
.
etc-etc Over 14 bins of parts.
The car will be sold with all of the parts.
Unfortunately, as his business grew and staff and customer base expanded, his time to get his Super Bee finished eroded to nothing, and she sat in the same garage bay for years.
Very sadly, he passed away earlier this year and his son has taken the reins.
As much as he'd like to build this car, he knows that running this business will take precedence, so the car and all it's parts are being sold.
By the numbers, this car is a pretty low number car.
As a 383, 4 spd car in F8 Dark Green Metallic, she's just one of 32 made.
In 69 they made 7363 Super Bee's total.
This is a Lynch Road, MI plant car so the fender codes can be troublesome to id correctly in some cases but she codes out as such:
C10, Built on December 10th, 1969; E63/925 383/335HP 4 bbl engine; D21/683 A833 4 speed manual transmission; 642 8.
75 3.
91 geared 10 drum rear axle, with front disc brakes; N96 Fresh air hood (the original twin scoop hood is no longer with the car, but the twin scoops are there and a fiberglass 440 six pack hood comes with it); X9 black vinyl top; 8W white Bumble Bee stripe; H2X High grade Black Bench seat.
Although not listed on the fender tag, the car was equipped with power windows, pistol grip shifter, power steering and power brakes.
As you can see the car is disassembled.
There is rot in the trunk and there was in the front floors, repaired but will need to be done correctly, the lower rear quarters each need work and the upper fender wells were bondo'd at some point in time.
Yes, this will be a lot of work.
I have seen a lot worse brought back to life though (like on Mark Worman's Graveyard Cars).
When finished, she'll be beautiful once again.
Will you be the one? With the overall condition of the car and the multitude of parts, asking price on her is $17,500 Any questions, for MANY more photos, to schedule a time to see the car in person, or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for the interest!.
