Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry.
The purpose of this position is to evaluate and test chain drive performance within internal combustion engines; operating engine dynamometers and motoring stands.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
Testing chain drive performance within internal combustion engines; operating engine dynamometers and motoring stands.
Traveling to customer sites to conduct chain system evaluations as part of a global evaluation team (about 6 times per year for 1 2 weeks per trip).
Assembling and disassembling engines to access or install timing drives and test parts.
Setting up chain system and component tests using appropriate hardware, sensors, data acquisition, etc.
Preparing test reports on system evaluations and component tests.
Designing test parts and creating engineering drawings.
Performing Finite Element Analysis on components and Dynamic analysis on chain systems.
Operating and maintaining dynamic chain test machines.
Examining and evaluating customer test results.
Develop and provide test plans for customer issues and limited scope projects Design and acquire required test equipment/fixtures from vendors Conduct product evaluations using internal and external standards for test work Document the tests conducted, results, issues encountered, and the solutions developed Utilize monitoring and measuring equipment to perform inspection and test functions Participate in global cross-functional teams, including marketing, designers, manufacturing, sales and procurement Manage workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks Performs Test & Evaluation facility upgrades and mechanical maintenance Maintaining all lab equipment to IATF/TS16949 standards, including calibration.
